Meet Ben, he is still a young lad at 3 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated and chipped.
We were told he is fine with the owners children at home, never really had any socialising with other dogs so unknown how he will react and will bark at cats outside. We think Ben will be better in an adult home , if teenagers are present he will need to be introduced correctly.
Our assessor was told that they cannot remember the last time Ben was walked and it showed in his attitude. He barks for attention and can become a little anxious, he has also been seen to chew himself which is thought to be either diet or boredom.
This poor lad urgently needs out and to be in a family where he will be shown what a dogs life should be like, which he isn’t at the moment.
Can you help this boy to a better life?
Ben recently had a weeks holiday with one of our volunteers which he enjoyed greatly. He learnt some much needed manners, rules and boundaries. He was fine with the teenage daughter in the home but has barked at some others when out on a walk and fine when left alone for short periods. He was getting a good boy out on walks and gaining confidence everyday. Ben will bark at cats which they do not like and doesn’t make for a harmonious partnership, he didn’t show any aggression but was far too full on for most cats.
If you can offer this loving lad a new start please get in touch..
So happy for this lad, he has now found that special home all of his own!
