1. Max

This gorgeous lad is 2 year neutered Max. He is good with children and other dogs. Will  need lead and recall training as can get quite excited but does have good basic commands. Max does not like giving up his toys so this will need working with. Max loves people...
  2. Ernie

May we introduce the handsome Ernie. Ernie has been taken into foster where he appears to be settling in very well. We believe Ernie is about 7 years young and he is currently entire. Unknown with children and cats but seems fine with other dogs in the kennels. The assessor...
  3. Snoopy

This is 6 year neutered Snoopy. Snoopy whilst good with children of all ages in the past would be best in an adult only home. He is fine with other dogs but does not like cats! Snoopy greeted our volunteers with a bark in a typical GSD fashion but soon settled...
  4. Bindi

Bindi is a 6 year spayed bitch who just loves to play ball.  Unfortunately her owner – who also bred her – had to move to a smaller property following a marital break-up and can’t keep her.  Although she lived with two other German Shepherds – her mother and grandmother –...
  5. Archie

Archie is 3 and is neutered. This poor young lad has now been in foster for quite a while. This is what foster mum has written. Archie was a very nervous little boy which came out in aggression when I first picked him up he did want to nip me but as...

  7. Archie

  8. Dillon

  9. Cody

Cody is a 9 year neutered male and has been through quite a lot in the last few years. Poor Cody has been very misunderstood. His original owners said he was not good with very young children or other dogs and reacted badly to them both on occasion when restraining...
  10. Saxon

Well what can we say about young Saxon? Saxon was taken from a family who could not cope with him. We were told he was not accepting the young child and was aggressive to other dogs to name but a few of his faults. Saxon was taken in by one...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
