Please meet this super gorgeous boy who goes by the name of Charlie!

Charlie arrived into our care via the Dog Warden as the poor boy had found himself in the stray pound. The Dog Warden had nothing but praise for Charlie as he’d been a pleasure to know and care for in their kennels.

Charlie is around a year old, still entire but he is micro chipped and has started his vaccinations. He is quite underweight but his coat and skin is in good order and he has no know medical issues.

Since being in our care Charlie has met lots of new people and he’s been very sociable with them all, he greets people in a very friendly manner but isn’t too bouncy or bolshy.

Charlie walks really well on the lead, he hasn’t as yet been walked near traffic but he has been around the field and met a few dogs through our paddock fence showing no reaction to them what so ever.

Charlie has a good appetite and at the moment he is on 3 meals a day to build him up, he loves treats and takes them very gently.

As Charlie is from the stray pound we would not place him with young children but older should be fine.

Charlie has been cat tested and did seem quite interested so maybe a feline free zone.

Even though Charlie has only been with us for one day we feel that he is already suitable to be re-homed as he is such a genuinely nice dog.

We do not know if Charlie is house trained so again this would be up to any potential adopter but we imagine that this is something that he’d pick up really quickly as he is quite clean in his kennel.

As Charlie is only a young boy we would expect him to be left for no longer than a couple of hours as he will require a fair amount of company, stimulation and training.

Charlie may live along side a spayed bitch following the correct introductions.

Please get in touch if you think Charlie may be the boy for you.

Charlie has been adopted.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
