This handsome lad is Chase. Not quite a pure GSD. He is 18 months old and is neutered and we are told he is vaccinated and microchipped. Chase has been with his current family since 18 weeks of age and they are now rehoming him as they realise it is not practical for a young, large breed dog to be living in a block of flats with no outside space.
Chase has been living with young children with no problem until recently when he nipped one of them when they were cycling past. I would not class this as aggression but frustration at being on the lead and wanting to join in, however, we would only rehome with teenagers upwards. Also this lad is currently very excitable and therefore quite boisterous, but this is probably due to his lack of space and confinement in a small area. Fine with other dogs and has lived with a Staffie. A no to cats.
Chase does need boundaries, lead training and recall work, but has basic commands. No issues over food or toys.
This young lad needs an experienced home with space for him to run and play off his energy where he can then be calm enough to start learning about being a well behaved young man without getting over excited. Can you give Chase the chance please?
