Holly is a sweet affectionate girl once she has formed a bond with you, she can be a little unsure of new people on first meeting but with time, patience and space soon comes around and makes friends.

Holly is 4 years old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Holly was rescued by her current owner’s mother at 14 months old from someone who said they did not have enough time for her. Unfortunately, her new mum became ill and needed daily visits from medics and Holly was not keen on letting them upstairs. So, her current owner, the son took Holly in. It meant Holly was alone most of the day but he was able to pop back at lunch time. Now though his job has changed meaning she will be home alone all day.

Holly has been fine with visiting children of the family, but we feel she would be best suited to an adult only home without any other pets.

Holly loves her walks and likes sniffing and exploring new places, but prefers her walk time to be quiet and away from other dogs where possible. She would benefit from a large garden where she can play and have fun off lead.

Holly came to GSRE a scared young lady, who really has not had the chance to settle in one place to call home.  Because of this Holly can at times display nervous aggression, if she is unsure.  However, her training and socialisation is currently being worked on extensively by GSRE volunteers, on a weekly basis and Holly is making great strides in her confidence.  She is fully muzzle trained and just see’s this it as an extension of the lead.

Holly so desperately seeks a confident, calm and experienced home that can continue her socialisation and training.

Once Holly trusts you she becomes a complete cuddle monster!

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
