“He has no name…Shall we call him Jet?
unregistered chip. GSD. A bit skinny and has we think some skin issues looks like flea allergy?
Good with humans but choosy with dogs.
No aggression seen with other dogs just a grumble at those he doesn’t like.
Approx 2 yrs intact.”
Jet was on his last day so we took him in. Been lovely with people but does need more work with other dogs. No young children as we don’t know his history. He has high toy drive and could be a candidate for working!
Vaccinations have been restarted and he is now neutered.
Jet will need an experienced GSD home but in the right hands could be super fun!
Jet had a long weekend break in foster:
“Over the past few days, we’ve had the pleasure of fostering Jet, a stunning approximately 3-year-old male German Shepherd with a beautiful, pure black coat.
Jet is full of energy and absolutely loves to play, especially when it comes to his toys. He has a fun, lively personality and would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation.
He comes across as very loving and affectionate, often seeking out cuddles and clearly eager to please. Jet bonds quickly and enjoys being around his people, making him wonderful company.
During his stay with us, Jet appeared to be house trained, with no accidents indoors, and he was respectful of furniture with no destructive behaviours noted.
He has had interactions with older children (aged 6–10) and we observed no concerns. However, he can be quite bouncy and excitable during play, so any introductions to children should be managed carefully to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
On walks, Jet can be selective with other dogs and shows a strong interest in cats and squirrels. For this reason, he may be best suited as the only pet in the household, or with very careful introductions to larger dogs.
Jet has been an absolute pleasure to foster, and both my partner and I have genuinely enjoyed having him with us. He has so much love and loyalty to give and is more than ready to find his forever family. In the right environment, Jet will truly thrive and make an incredible companion.”
