This lovely lady is 4 year spayed Keira. She has been with her current owner since she was 7 months old. She is vaccinated and microchipped. Keira is selective with dogs we are told and currently lives with 2 cats. No young children due to her nervous state which is why she is being rehomed.
This poor girl is very anxious meeting new people, especially big built men, to the extent she will actually mess herself. When our assessor visited, Keira was very unsettled and stayed close to her owner and it took a long time to get her trust. Very wary of sudden hand movements.
Keria was purchased from a man in Scotland who hadn’t socialised her and in fact left her locked in a house 12 hours a day. He was her 3rd owner! Janet’s husband purchased her, despite the fact her owner did not want a dog and still doesn’t.
Taking her to the vets at 8 months to be spayed, the vet recognised Keira and told them she had come into him at 12 weeks old having swallowed a baby’s dummy and was actually dead on arrival but he managed to resuscitate her. Having moved down to Devon, Keira has been tormented by neighbouring children and was actually poisoned at one stage.
Keira desperately needs an experienced home that can give her the stimulation, socialisation and confidence she so desperately needs so she can learn the world is not all bad. Please can you help her?
Keira’s owners have found her a lovely new home.
