Mac

Mac (1)
Mac (2)

Mac is a 2 year male who came to us through the police after being disclaimed by his owner. He had bitten a neighbour who had knocked on the door, his mum not realising he had got out of the room he was shut in.
For this reason we would not rehome with children however we do not feel Mac is in anyway an ‘aggressive’ dog. The police advised that the dogs living at the property did not appear to be getting much exercise and felt it was probably owner error more than anything. Had been living with other dogs, large and small and  a number of cats we are told.
Mac is extremely friendly in fact and when he arrived at the kennels greeted everyone like long lost friends. In fact he nearly did not make it as the policeman given the job of bringing him stopped en route and let him have a play with his 2 police dogs (spaniel and GSD) with no problems.
A rounded, happy dog that just needs a home that can give him the exercise and mental stimulation this breed craves.

Mac now has a new home.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
