Maverick is a GSD cross Pomeranian! He was 2 in June. He is vaccinated we are told and microchipped but still entire. He came from Egypt at 6 months of age, and whilst he is not good with other dogs, he is fine with the others he lives with. Unknown with children so older children only and unknown with cats.

Maverick is being rehomed due to his mum struggling with his behaviour when out, which is a response to her medical issues, so currently trapped in a bit of a vicious circle. This is what our volunteer says:

“Maverick has the potential to be a biddable dog in the correct hands. Currently he lacking guidance outside of the home. I was able to walk alongside Maverick after a frantic meet (he was muzzled). He relaxed well when he was afforded space and walked well on the lead. He accepted food reward.

Once in the home Maverick was crated and after initial barking when I entered he quickly relaxed and went to sleep. When I left he made no noise at all.

As a young boy rescued from a foreign country he just requires guidance in behaviour boundaries and the time to adjust. He has no medical issues and is a healthy bouncy dog.”
