The lovely Max is 5 years old. He is microchipped and now vaccinated and neutered.
Max was living with 2 females sheps but had to be rehomed as his owner is moving in with her parents to help care for them as her father has dementia. Unfortunately Max is not keen on men, or at least on her dad, which may just be due to his health as our volunteer (male) found him to be very friendly as has everyone else since.
Max does pull on the lead (work in progress) but had not been getting much exercise but he has recall and basic commands. He is actually very strong and wants to grab the lead as well so needs someone with experience, time and patience. Due to his lack of socialisation outside of the home, this is something that needs to be worked with, but he is responsive to training and an experienced owner should help him through it well. He is currently in foster and mixing well with strong minded bitches. He is basically a bit of a bully boy.
He did use to live with 4 cats but suspect he would bully ones he does not know. Good with children of all ages but would be best with adult children only due to his lead grabbing and being boisterous when out.Max has just not been given the boundaries and training but responds well and our volunteer says he is a great dog and very handsome!
Max in his new home.
Max had a wonderful life with his new family but has sadly passed over Rainbow Bridge.
