BEING ADVERTISED ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER RESCUE SO YOUR DETAILS WILL BE PASSED ON ACCORDINGLY.

Max is a handsome young shepherd who has found himself in kennels through no fault of his own. He has been in our kennels for 10 months now, and would love nothing more than to once again be in a loving home. Max is looking for adopters that have GSD experience and are willing to put in the time to help him overcome his fears and to keep him safe. Max was not walked much in his previous home, so has not had much socialisation to the outside world. Therefore, he can get stressed on his walks and may bark and jump at passing vehicles. Sometimes he gets so overwhelmed that he starts spinning on his lead. Max would love a home that is in a quiet area, preferably in the countryside, where he can have stress-free walks and learn to be a dog. Max LOVES playing with toys, especially tennis balls and footballs. He is happy to play with people or independently. He can be a pretty independent dog in general and chooses to ignore strangers, but he does form very close bonds with his carers and enjoys having affection from them. Max has been taking part in some muzzle training, as he benefits from wearing a muzzle in certain situations, such as at the vets. Max will need a calm, adult-only home as he would get overwhelmed by younger children. He tends to form close bonds with only a handful of people, so will need multiple visits to form a bond with new adopters. Max is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, flead, and wormed. He would be an excellent companion for the right home, if only he is given the chance. If you are interested in Max, please contact Bristol Animal Rescue Centre.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
