May I introduce the rather handsome Maxii who just over a year old. He has recently been neutered by his owner and is vaccinated but will need microchipping.

Maxii is in a home with a family who have not had a GSD  from a pup before and have not given him the training, boundaries and leadership he needs. Consequently Maxii has become very protective of them and his home and they are now wary of him. A vicious cycle.

When our volunteer arrived Maxxi was tied to the tree in the garden where he spends most of his days. He comes inside at nights and is well cared for. He was very guardy but let our volunteer approach and with a bit of sausage bribery readily accepted her.

He was taken for a short walk and whilst the family were very nervous about how he barks at people and other dogs, our volunteer made him calmly sit and distracted him whilst people walked by. A very trainable young man.

Has not had proper socialisation with other dogs and there is  a cat in the home but they are kept apart. Would probably be best if older children.

Maxii  just needs an experienced home to give him the guidance he so desperately needs and in return someone is going to get a super dog!

Maxii has been found a new home by his owners.
