Please meet Midnight who will be 3 in November if he is still alive. Entire but vaccinated and microchipped. Lives with a bitch and one of his pups, but lunges and barks at every other dog he sees. He is good with the children he lives with but would suggest an adult home. He has lived with cats.
Midnight has never been in a car apparently and is not fully house trained. Walked on a halti he isn’t allowed off lead so recall will need work but does have basic commands. The 3 dogs are fed separately and he will guard high value food from his owner.
Midnight is being rehomed as Social Services have insisted on it or his owner will not be allowed to bring her baby home once born. Thus he is booked in to be euthanised 17th July. He has been in his home since 10 weeks of age.
“Midnight was quiet and watchful when I arrived. Very food orientated and though he did not want me to stroke or touch him, he was happy to sniff my shoes and legs and responded to me for treats. We went for a short walk. Midnight is highly reactive to everything and jumps around barking. He also chews and bites on his lead and has caught his owner several times doing this. The behaviour looked like a mixture of frustration and anxiety and will take some work. He would benefit from structured exercise/training in a quiet field/area and then gradually transferring new behaviours into road walks.
Overall Midnight is a young, anxious and nervous dog. He is very affectionate towards his owner.”
Now Midnight could be a project but this lad really deserves a second chance please!
