May I introduce Nala who is 2 years old in August. Not yet spayed but had her season in June so can be done September. We are told she is fully vaccinated and she is microchipped. Nala is fine with the children she lives with but no young children in her new home please. Nala is fine with other large breed dogs but does not like cats.
Nala has been in the same home since a pup however is now being rehomed as she is reactive to new people coming into her home and the family feel it is not fair on her or their children who cannot have friends round. It has become a bit of a vicious circle from the sounds of things sadly, where Nala has reacted, owners tense up, and so it goes on. Whilst she is very vocal with new people she has only ever nipped one guest well over a year ago. Since then she has always been muzzled when new people come in. Once Nala knows you she is fine. Owners say she has always been a little nervy and feels her behaviour is more out of fear rather than nastiness.
Nala walks nicely on a lead and has basic commands. She actually goes out regularly with a dog walker. We are also told she has good recall. Travels well in the car and is used to being left for a few hours. Lovely girl in good condition.
Our volunteer said she was very vocal when he first arrived but when she went into the garden for some photos she had settled down. She may benefit from a an older male to give her some guidance and confidence, and an experienced home with a dog that has slight nervous aggression. An adult only home would be ideal without too much through traffic. Can you give Nala the home she needs please?
