Meet our lovely Netty. We think she is about 5/6yrs, still entire as recently had a litter, fully vaccinated and chipped.

This gorgeous girl has quite a sad tale to tell. Some miserable git tied her up at the side of a railway line and abandoned her. She was picked up by the RSPCA who took her in and started her journey back to being loved and cared for.
She had only been with them for a short time when she started to act very strangely and it then became apparent she was about to give birth. She was so emaciated when they had picked her up it was not obvious she was pregnant so a shock to all involved.

She gave birth to 5 pups, one sadly did not make it . So, fast forward on, all pups found new homes but as in a lot of cases mum was not as appealing and was still looking for that special home.
Netty – aptly named by the inspector who first picked her up after Network Rail, was getting very stressed in their kennels as they are very busy with quite a bit of noise and after all this time and upset she had been through, they approached us for some specialist breed input and here she is!

Since being with us Netty has shown herself to be a gorgeous girl with a sweet temperament but still very wary and scared at times but with the help of our wonderful vollies she is improving all the time.

She has been fine with all the other dogs she has walked with, not tested with cats or small children.

This beauty so deserves a special home of her own so if you think this could be you then please fill out an adoption form and apply.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
