Meet our Ronnie. Ronnie came to us via a complaint that he was being kept in a crate for many hours each day which understandably was making him agitated.

On first arriving he was as to be expected very cautious and nervous of everyone and everything, and as you have probably guessed he is GSD cross, we were told with a Shar Pei.

Since being with us though, what a change; he is almost a totally different dog now, and has discovered life and he likes it!!

With our lovely ladies at the kennels Ronnie has been busy with trips on the bus, train and a visit to the market and the seaside!!

He is still nervous especially when meeting men but we have willing bait in a close friend so improvements will be made!

Ronnie is growing in confidence all the time, on initial meeting he runs up barking for a split second and then greets you briefly and goes off to find something more exciting to do. He is fine with other dogs and would happily share a home with a friend. He finds cats interesting but not overly tasty so with time could be fine.

Can anybody give this lad the chance he so deserves?

This lucky lad is staying with his foster home so will have a super life!

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
