Sam is just 3 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has been in the same home since a pup and is sadly being rehomed as his dad has had a stroke so he is not able to give him the exercise he needs.
Sam is a bright and energetic dog who once he starts getting walked regularly again will not be so bouncy and will settle. He has basic commands and is very quick to pick up new ones. Off lead heel work and focus impressed our volunteer, and he will do just about anything for a treat. He will play with balls etc but much prefers a good game of tug!
Sam needs to go into an adult home as he is not keen on little people, and whilst his current owners do not let him off lead when out, he seemed to ignore other dogs, but doggie socialisation is an area that needs working with. He does live with 2 cats. Sam also had a bad experience at the vet’s so must be muzzled when he goes. He does not like his back legs being touched and will turn and snap.
For an experienced GSD home, this lad could be a lot of fun as not only is he keen to learn and please, but loves giving cuddles.
