We believe Sherry is about 9 month old. A volunteer found her at a yard tied up and terrified. When she asked about her she was told that he had just swapped her for some lorry parts! She had been on a camp site and had been chained up there since a pup. She bought the dog there and then and asked for our help to find her the home she deserved.
Sherry is very nervous, especially of men, but has never shown her teeth in fear. She seems happier at present with the harness, probably due to having had a chain on her neck for so long. Her automatic reaction is to run. She is microchipped now and has been wormed and deflead.
When in foster Sherry was good around the other dogs but did start to become dominant over the smaller ones. She will fight them for food or treats. Wary of young children but possible she has been teased by them in the past. She had never lived in a house until going into foster so house training is a work in progress.
This gorgeous girl does not have an ounce of malice in her with people but needs a very special home who has the patience to help her understand the world she has not seen whilst not over indulging her as she will then want to be number one dog.
Sherry now has a home of her own.
