Yaeger is a 5 year neutered male who is vaccinated and microchipped.

He has been in the same home since a pup until recently when he moved in with a family who are caring for him short term due to a change in his owner’s personal circumstances.

His owner describes him as “Wonderfully loyal and loving at home and very playful. Can be nervous/protective but controlled with understanding of the breed. Not big for a shepherd but amazingly intelligent and energetic. Requires a confident and strong owner.” We think this is a fairly good summary.

Yaeger needs an adult only home and he is very selective about which dogs he will get along with. A no to cats. Our volunteer met him out on a walk whilst on the lead, and he indeed became very protective of his people. However, once back in the house, and muzzle removed and off lead, he was a different dog. No signs of aggression and laid across his feet.

Yaeger needs a special home that can work with this lad as he will not be for the faint hearted. Are you that home?
