We were asked to assess Jag a  few days before he needed out of his home. We offered him a space at our Essex Kennels (he was in Evesham), but his owner could not get him there. The next day we were asked by the local pound if we could help a dog called Hector who had been handed in, and surprise, surprise, it was Jag! His owner had him since he was 7 weeks!

Jag is coming up to 3 years of age, is now neutered, vaccinations have been restarted and he is microchipped.

This lad is very toy and treat orientated which is good as he needs a lot of training on the lead. Loves being in water unless it is for a shower. Typical youngster that has missed out on the proper training and socialisation a young dog needs. We are told he is good with children and other large dogs, but not keen on small dogs and a no to cats.

Jag did break his leg in an RTA as a youngster but all has healed fine.

In a GSD experienced home this lovely lad should thrive. Can you give him the home he deserves please?

Jag has decided he is staying with his foster family.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
