It was quite quickly discovered that Kala, affectionately known as Nana, had a very complicated water work system. Despite surgery at the Royal Veterinary College, Nana does still ‘leak’. We are awaiting advice on another potential op which may help improve this, but in the meantime she is a very happy girl. Below is her original write up.
“Have a look at this gorgeous little girl, her name is Kala and she is still only 10 month old. Now spayed, fully vaccinated and chipped.
When she arrived with us from the pound she was very very scared and fearful of everything to the point she would wet herself whenever touched or spoken to.
Since being in our kennels and a massive thanks to our fantastic volunteers who really have put the time in with her she is growing in confidence everyday.
She is now enjoying walks, time out off lead in the paddock and also being groomed.
She has been to the vets and was as good as gold.
Kala came in with another young bitch called Mystique, also petrified of the world.
Kala has now been in foster for a few weeks now and has been fantastic with all the other dogs she has met, large or small, the horses and goats. Still very nervous of new things, and will run rather than fight. She so needs a quiet home where she can get one to one training now to help her confidence and socialisation with the world, but most definitely needs an older and solid dog as a companion as she hates being alone, and it will help her to learn about being a dog and give her confidence.”
