This little girl is Purdey who is a Belgian Shepherd Malinois. We took her in from the pound after she had been found straying. She was not microchipped!

Purdey is about 3 years old. She is now microchipped and vaccinations have been started. Unknown if spayed. She arrived very underweight so our main aim was to feed her up and get her fit and healthy which is coming along wonderfully.

Has been super with all dogs she has met at the kennels and walks nicely on a lead and is a real little sweetheart.

She certainly deserves to be in a good home!

Purdey is now in foster and this is what foster mum has to say about her:

“Purdey a pocket rocket of love and affection. Super loyal and super sweet. A very uncomplicated lady.

She’s an angel with people, everyone’s best friend. Doesn’t bark and no guarding or protective behaviour has been seen. So affectionate and loving and eager to please. Not a nasty bone in her body.

She’s good with dogs and could live with another dog or alone. She will play rough like a Malinois though so the other dog must be able to keep up! She has met small dogs and livestock and has been fine with them. No chasing or silliness.

Good recall and good on the lead.

She is happy to share your love with another dog but she strikes me as the type to be incredibly loyal to her new person.

She’s calm for a Malinois. She’s balanced and level headed and doesn’t have the drive that they usually have.

Quiet, clean and an easy girl to have in the home.

Don’t miss out on this girl, she’s a diamond

Could live with dog savvy children and fit into most homes”

Purdey has got herself a fantastic new home!

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
