Dexter is looking for a new home after his dad died please. He will be 3 in December, and he is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Unknown with children. We are told he is ok with other dogs but unknown with cats.
We are told Dexter would bark at visitors but was happy to let them into his home. Not used to being on lead so does pull and will need some training but has recall and basic commands.
This is what foster mum has to say about him:
“He is fine with other dogs both male and females as mixing with all of mine. If you go take his collar he will show his teeth to try and stop you getting him, snaps forward but has never bitten, just drops to the floor if you carry on and take no notice of his behaviour and make him do as you ask. He’s trying it on. He need’s someone who won’t be worried about this.
He wants to be with you as been with his owner in flat most of the time so think there might be a bit of separation anxiety when he goes to a new home. Here, he winges first off but does settle after a little while.
He hasn’t been walked on a lead and been told he pulls. Owner used to put in car and took him to the fields and let him out as he didn’t need a lead, had good recall and loved to play ball.”
Can you give Dexter a new home please.
Dexter has been adopted.
