“We’ve been dealing with a gentleman who got a German shepherd as a pup and now he’s 12 months old he can’t do anything with him, won’t walk him or do any type of training. The current owner is out most of the day and the dog is left shut in the kitchen. The dog has a flea allergy and is underweight, one of my colleagues took him to the vets for the owner yesterday as they have a lack of funds and no transport. The current owner wishes to sign the dog over as he agrees he isn’t coping and can’t give the dog what it needs. As a large breed we are struggling to find space in our kennels so he is currently on a waiting list, who knows how long that will be for. I didn’t know if you might have a space and may be able to take him on? He’s a very sweet friendly boy, appears very intelligent. “
So we had a space before the RSPCA so please welcome Shep. Shep is a super young lad despite everything. He is friendly with everyone and shown no malice to people or other dogs. He is microchipped and now fully vaccinated.
Shep will fit into most GSD experienced homes who can give him the guidance and training a dog of his age needs. No young children and unknown with cats, but think he would happily live with an older female.
