1. Cleo

We were asked to take beautiful Cleo in by another rescue. She had been picked up as a stray and it was obvious she wasn’t very well so went straight to the vets. The vets felt it was gastroenteritis and probably why she had been dumped at just 7 months...
  2. Luna

We were asked to take in this lovely girl. “Luna came into kennels over a year ago as a welfare case. She is about 2-3 years old but acts very puppy like. Luna is fully vaccinated and microchipped. She was very skinny when she arrived and had suffered some physical abuse from...
  3. Bear

May I introduce Bear who was 2 years old in May. Bear was picked up as a stray so found his way to us. Now neutered and vaccinations restarted. No malice in this lad and he has been super friendly with everyone he has met. No young children as we...

  9. Luna

May I introduce Luna who is just 3 years of age. Not spayed and vaccinations are out of date but she is microchipped. She has just come into season so could be spayed end December. This is what our volunteer had to say about her: “What an absolute lovely young...
  10. Pepper

Pepper has come to us from council kennels having been picked up as a stray. Not a full GSD and we believe about 14 months old. She is microchipped but it is not registered! Vaccinations will need to be restarted and doubtful she is spayed. Pepper is an energetic young...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
