1. Boss

His name is Boss and he is only 5 years old…..yes 5 years although he looks over 10!! Boss was absolutely crawling with fleas and he has numerous sores over his entire body. He is very underweight and as you can imagine he’s very frail too. Yesterday he had some...
  2. Max

We took this lovely older boy in as his dad was at end of life care and wanted him to be sorted before going into hospital. Max is a lovely lad and I am happy to say he has now been adopted. Max has passed over Rainbow Bridge.
  3. Flack

Have a look at this gorgeous boy, Flack is 18 month old, fully vaccinated, chipped and soon to be neutered. Flack has had some police training so will need a home who understands this and will be able to manage him . He did briefly go into a foster home...
  4. Sky

The lovely Sky came to us from another rescue as she wasn’t doing well in their large busy kennels and had had no interest. Lovely girl who is not too fond on other canines but great with people. Now adopted.
  5. Marley

Have a look at this lovely older boy, his name is Marley and really needs your help. He is 10yrs old, sadly still entire, not vaccinated or chipped. He is fine around children, ok with visiting dogs in the home but can be selective when out walking, a no to...
  6. Derek

  7. Gus

Notts boy Gus is looking for a home with no other dogs, no cats and older children only. He’s really not enjoying kennels and we think he would prefer to live with someone who is at home most of the time. We have seen some anxiety with this lad hence...
  8. Jetta

A while ago we were asked to take in litter sisters, they were picked up by the dog warden and never claimed. Both girls arrived and they were terrified of the world and everything in it, it’s fair to say that they were feral. They relied totally on each other...

A while ago we were asked to take in litter sisters, they were picked up by the dog warden and never claimed. Both girls arrived and they were terrified of the world and everything in it, it’s fair to say that they were feral. They relied totally on each other...
  10. Sam

Another beauty, Sam, not yet neutered, we are told fully vaccinated with booster due in September, also chipped. Sam’s owner told us he is a no around children of any age, unknown with dogs, cats or livestock. Sam managed to get out of the garden and nip a neighbours arm...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
