We were asked by the pound if we could help this beautiful little girl and of course we agreed.

Please say hello to Betty!
Betty is only a baby, we think she’s around a year old and she’s vaccinated & chipped.
This little girl has the sweetest nature once she comes around, she’s very shy but once she knows you she loves you.
Betty loves cuddles, lots and lots of cuddles plus she loves kisses too and will happily give lots in return!

Since Betty has been with us she’s met a few dogs, she’s shown no reaction from a distance but does not like face to face contact and she will show her little pearls. We are thinking that she’s never been socialised correctly or maybe she’s had a bad experience previously. Maybe a calm neutered male would be a good match for her to help gain some confidence, she’s young enough to learn in the right home with the right dog.

Betty is very good on the lead, she loves to explore and have a good sniff around. If she gets spooked by something she simply lays down but she’s soon back up on her feet and off sniffing again.

As Betty came in from the pound we have no clue as to her background so for this reason she will only be placed with older children. We cannot cat test her so it would be up to the adopters to work with her and any resident cat/s.
Betty would like an active home where she gets the chance to burn off her puppy steam but equally I’m sure she’d also appreciate a comfy sofa to snuggle up on.
We haven’t as yet had Betty out for a walk so she hasn’t seen passers by or traffic as yet but we will update as soon as we have more to tell.

Betty has been adopted.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
