Brandy and Revy are being rehomed as their owner does not have enough time for them and they are currently being left 10 hours plus on a regular basis which is also causing problems with the neighbours as they will bark.

Both dogs are microchipped but unsure on vaccinations and neither are neutered. Brandy has been in the home since a pup and has missed out on a lot of socialisation with the world and other dogs. Revy has been in this home for 8 months.

Both dogs desperately need a new life please and would be happy together but can be separated, and will need to be neutered ASAP.

“Brandy is a 2 year old female GSD which has been owned from a puppy, c12 weeks. This was from a breeder, although the details were unknown. She is extremely excitable, I would guess hugely unfulfilled. Once we got over her exuberance, I managed to get a consistent sit and a down with her allowing be to examine her teeth, ears, legs and tummy. She allowed me to palpate all these areas without any lip licking or evidence of pain/discomfort. I wanted to see her reaction to other dogs and when walking. The owner walks her on a slip lead. I took her briefly and with the correct use of the slip lead we managed to improve her walking with me. She does respond well to clear direction. I took Jager, my malinios to the end of the road to observe Brandy’s reaction to other dogs, she pulled extremely hard – I would imagine she is bordering on becoming lead reactive as she started to bark and there were glimpses of a growl – I think from frustration. She is a beautiful dog, sadly, not getting what she deserves. Appeared to have a normal gait, however, she was pulling excessively so difficult to see her biomechanics.”

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
