1. Baloo

Please meet Little Boy Blue or Baloo for short. We took this young chap in from the council pound as he’d been found straying. Baloo is around 4/5 years old, he is neutered and chipped but he will need to restart his vaccinations. When Baloo arrived he was in a...
  2. Bruce Wayne

May I introduce Bruce Wayne who was born in January this year. Currently entire but microchipped. Bruce was originally purchased as a pup for a 17 year old, and yes, you don’t need the rest of the story! No stimulation, training or socialisation results in a hyper and destructive puppy....
  3. Luna

We were asked to take in this lovely girl. “Luna came into kennels over a year ago as a welfare case. She is about 2-3 years old but acts very puppy like. Luna is fully vaccinated and microchipped. She was very skinny when she arrived and had suffered some physical abuse from...
  4. Bear

May I introduce Bear who was 2 years old in May. Bear was picked up as a stray so found his way to us. Now neutered and vaccinations restarted. No malice in this lad and he has been super friendly with everyone he has met. No young children as we...
  5. Ragnar

BEING ADVERTISED ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER RESCUE Ragnar came to us because his owner couldn’t cope with him anymore. He is NOT a dog for the inexperienced. He needs someone that knows the breed and has time to spend bonding with and training him. Ragnar is generally friendly with people...
  6. Timmy

Timmy is around 6yrs old, neutered & microchipped but not yet vaccinated. This boy came to us as his time was up in the stray pound, he’s a nervous lad but has shown no aggression at all, he’s obviously been hit in the past as does flinch when you raise...
  7. Albie

Albie is available for adoption through GSRE – this is what his current owner says about him. Albie is a 23-month-old, male, semi haired, black and tan German Shepherd. He is not currently neutered but is microchipped, vaccinated and worm/flea treated. He has no known food allergies and no disclosed...
  8. Daisy

Daisy is 2.5 years old. She is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. She has been with her family since a pup but sadly due to a relationship breakdown, Daisy is now left for long hours and is not getting the time she deserves. Daisy is good with children of all ages...
  9. Vera

Jack & Vera came to us after serving the required time in the pound! They were found wandering and picked up by the dog warden, Jack’s chip was registered so the owner was contacted but said he didn’t want them back! Vera’s chip is not registered. We believe Jack is...
  10. Max

This lovely lad is Max, he recently joined us from a stray dog pound. He has been brilliant around all our volunteers and fine walking alongside our other dogs in the kennels. Max has now gone into foster to see if he can learn to live with the family feline,...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
