1. Bertie

May I introduce Bertie and Ernie, as these Mali pups have been named. We were asked to take them in from council kennels having done their 7 days. We believe the boys are about 16 weeks old. Neither were microchipped! Now safely in our care, the boys are now microchipped...
  2. Finn

Have a look at this gorgeous baby, he has spent his whole life in kennels, first the pound and now in rescue. He is approx 6-8 month old, chipped, vaccinated. He has a lovely temperament with everyone he has met and has enjoyed playing with the dogs who he is...
  3. Bantay

Bantay will be 9 this year. She is microchipped and vaccinated but not spayed. Currently in season so could be spayed in a few months time. Bantay is being rehomed as her owner has some health issues and the daughter has now moved to university so Bantay is not getting...
  4. Elsa

  8. Kai

Our volunteer says it all: “Kai is the most glorious boy, and as his owner’s illness gets worse she feels she’s letting him down, and as she feels less able she also feels more protective of and anxious for him, which amplifies the few faults he has. I feel that...
  9. Maisie

Introducing the beautiful Maisie, who is approximately 8 months old; she found herself in the pound after being picked up as a stray where she was living in a garden. It is believed she is mostly Dutch Herder with a little bit of Mali mixed in. Maisie is not yet...
  10. Vinnie

Please give a warm welcome to this gorgeous young lad. Vinnie has just arrived into our care – another taken in by us from the stray pound. Vinnie is very underweight weighing in at only 17kg. We have wormed him and he has been placed on 3 meals a day...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
