1. Erik

Erik has come into our care as his mum has been struggling with other things going on in her life. This handsome lad was just 1 in December. He is microchipped and vaccinated. We are told Erik comes from working lines so will need a home experienced with the breed...
  2. Rocco

We were asked to take this boy under our wing but our first question was ‘does he come with a saddle’?! Meet Rocco, he is micro chipped and still entire. He’s already started his vaccinations and also had a health check as he arrived with a sore eye and dry,...
  3. Winston

This little lad found himself in council kennels having been relinquished by his owner where the conditions were not great. Winston was only 8 months old when he came to us. A Mali cross, he is a big boy. No signs of malice; his biggest issue is his clumsiness bless...
  4. Ouzi

This lad was seized by the police at the same time as Zara and has now been released. Ouzi is 5 years old. His vaccinations have been restarted and he is now neutered. Ouzi would need an experienced home as he has had security training, but is a lovely lad...
  5. Logan

Whilst we’ve all been enjoying the bank holiday weekend, the Notts team have welcomed a new face to the club. Meet Logan, a lovely little boy that needs everyone’s help to get him a home. He’s a fabulous boy that isn’t reactive to dogs (if anything he just wants to...
  6. Vina

This gorgeous young lady found herself in council kennels and with no microchip had no chance of an owner wanting to reclaim her. Vina is a GSD cross Mali. She is just a teenager who is full of life and energy but also a sweet girl with everyone she has...
  7. Katana

We were alerted to this lovely little girl needing a new home by another rescue and could not say no. Katana was 2 in September. She is microchipped and vaccinations are now up to date and she is also now spayed. Katana was initially meant to be a support dog...
  8. Max

We were asked by the Police if we could help this young lad, Max. He was seized during a police operation and they thought he might make a working dog, but not had the socialisation he needs at this stage, especially around other dogs. Max is still a baby and...

“I hope you are well. We currently have 2 young GSD’s in with us as strays who we are looking for a rescue space for – ideally on the 25th of July, or as soon as possible after this date. Peach and Apricot were found roaming together, they were both...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
