The lovely Jessie came in from the pound where she had been picked up as stray. Jessie was microchipped which shows she is coming up to her second birthday. Vaccinations now started. Unknown if spayed.
We would not rehome Jessie with young children as we do not know her history. Has been fine around other dogs but would rather not have them in her face. Unknown with cats.
This is what one of our volunteers said about her on meeting her:
“Little more than a puppy herself, Jess has been bred from before. Once more straight from the pound, first meet yesterday. Greeted me excitedly, small in stature, this fur baby loves treats. Bouncy and full of life thoroughly enjoyed her walk, including typical shep nosiness!! Unfazed by traffic. Must’ve had some training as amazed me by walking to heel beautifully when we tried. Jess is a lively, lovely black beauty.”
And this after a breakout from the kennels for a day:
“Jessie has been out meeting people today, sporting her very attractive ‘Please adopt me’ coat, walking lovely along busy main road – getting used to loud lorries & motorbikes, followed by meeting horses in the field next to the footpath, she was not bothered by them at all. This girl is an absolute dream. Now home making myself some lunch and she’s laid down and is being so good. Jessie has not put one paw wrong today ?”
Jessie has left the kennels for a new start to her life.
