Simba is available for adoption through GSRE – this is what his current owner says about him.
Simba is a 4.5-year-old, male, German Shepherd/Rottweiler/Labrador cross with a short black coat (Labrador shaped head). He is not currently neutered or vaccinated and it is unknown if he is microchipped. He has no known food allergies or disclosed medical issues. He does not like going to the vets but at present is not registered with one. He has lived in his current home since he was 18 months old.
Simba is being rehomed through GSRE as his current owner has mental health issues and is struggling to take care of him. The owner is also no longer able to keep a dog in their accommodation.
Simba’s reaction around children is untested. He is described as being aggressive towards other dogs. Simba has been found loose in the community a number of times and most recently bit a dog and their owner who were passing by the property. He has never lived with another dog and is not good with cats. His reaction to livestock is not known. He is nervous of sudden noises/movements and has not been well socialised. Due to the above, he will not be rehomed with children.
Simba is excitable when people visit the home and will bark quite a lot but will settle down if made a fuss of. He can be left alone for up to 6 hours without displaying any destructive tendencies. His reaction to travelling in a car is not known. He lives indoors and is housetrained. He pulls when walked on a lead and does not have a recall (never let off-lead) and has not been taught any commands. He likes playing with his toys and has been described as not being treat focused.
