We were contacted by a council in Essex who had removed numerous GSD’s from a property where they were being hoarded. There were 15 dogs in total. In fairness the dogs were fed and all got along, but the majority had never seen outside of the property or been on a lead. Initially three boys were signed over (the council is still in a legal battle with some of the others). No aggression in any of these boys, they are just nervous of new people, in a cautious manner.

The council kennels managed to groom them all and get them microchipped where needed and vaccinated. They just about cope being put on a slip lead and travelled well.

Buddy, Dakota and Thunder are going to be with us for a while as everything is slow and softly, and for now they are just learning to accept new people into their space. Once they are more trusting, they will then progress to being taken out and about to see the world.

Special homes will be needed when the time comes.
