Winston came to us from the pound. This lovely lad is 12 years old and has been a sweetheart with everyone he has met.

Winston was obviously dumped because he is covered in lumps and bumps and on visiting the vet they advised us he has lymphoma. We could have put him through a biopsy for confirmation but then all that could be done was chemotherapy. How fair would that be on the poor lad?  No doubt this is why his owners dumped him!

The vet advised he did not have long but seemed pain free at present. We did not want Winston to spend his last days in kennels but wanted him to know that not all people are heartless ******. A wonderful volunteer has taken him into her heart and home for however long he has left. At the first sign of pain or discomfort we will let him go.

We may not be able to save them all but at least we can give them some love and dignity when the end comes.

Winston is now at Rainbow Bridge and his lovely foster mum adopted him so he had a ‘proper’ mum before he went x
