1. Marley

May I introduce Marley who is not yet a year old. Marley is an unclaimed stray who has been in council kennels since December, and because she was starting to become more reactive, she was going to be euthanised. We couldn’t let that happen. Marley is microchipped but vaccinations will...

Please meet Abbi who is a very petite Mali cross. We believe that Abbi is around 12 to 18 months old and very much doubt that she has been spayed. This poor little girl arrived into our care having been previously in the stray pound. To say that Abbi is...
  10. Janie

Everyone by now will know that most straying & unwanted dogs end up in the dog pound. They get well cared for whilst they are there but their days are limited. The staff/volunteers/pound pullers then starting asking the rescues for their help. Please meet Janie who sadly ended up in...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
