1. Oliver

Well what can I say about this little beauty! Another rescue contacted us to say his owner needed him gone urgently and he was between 4 to 6 months old. In fact Oliver, as we have called him, was only 14 weeks old. He is microchipped and fully vaccinated and...
  2. Kai

Kai was born June 2020. He is microchipped and neutered and vaccinations are due now. The lady that currently has him has only had Kai a short period of time, thinking she could train him to be an assistant dog and she uses a mobility scooter. Kai is too strong...
  3. Kaiser

Kaiser was born 3.11.25. He is microchipped and vaccinated but too young to be neutered. His current mum has worked with his training but he is already very protective of her, especially in the home environment, and we are a bit trapped in a circle of her being apprehensive when...

  7. Sparrow

Sparrow was born August 2024. He is microchipped and vaccinated but not yet neutered. Being rehomed as his owner took him in as a pup for a friend who then decided they did not want him back, and so now living in a flat she is not supposed to have...
  8. River

We were asked by another rescue if we could take in this handsome lad, River. He had been picked up as a stray and was not chipped. Below is a summary of their assessment:   A good session with River. I would say he is younger than 4 and have...
  9. Rupert

Look at this gorgeous pup….came to us via the pound as no one else had offered him a space so yep…we did. Not a German I hear you say…nope, we believe Rupert Bear to be Mali x Akita… not a cross I have encountered before but oh my is he...
  10. Aria

We were sent the following for a dog in council kennels; “Female – Aria – A bit gobby around other dogs, very strong on the lead but very well mannered to sit, stay and wait etc. She’s really lovely”. So please meet Aria who was born August 2022. She is...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
