1. Buddy

Buddy is a GSD cross Mali who was adopted from us in 2022 after a relation ship split meant his mum was unable to keep him. This was his original write up: “Buddy is good with children, having been around a 5 and 7 year old, and other dogs. He...
  2. Buster

Buster is a Mali cross GSD cross Bull breed. We were asked to take him in as he was taken in by another rescue we work with, having done his 7 days. Buster had been chained to a gate and was there for 2 days without food or water we...
  3. Freddie

This very handsome lad is Freddie who is now 3 years old. He came in coming up to 2 years of age. He is microchipped and now neutered and vaccinated. We were asked to help this lad as he was in other kennels for training and rehoming. Sadly no training...
  4. Rex

May I introduce Rex who according to his chip is a Belgian Malinois but suspect that is not completely accurate and we believe he also has GSD in him. He was 18 months old when he arrived and is microchipped and vaccinated. This is what our volunteer had to say:...
  5. Diesel

Diesel originally came into us at 7 months of age from owners who thought they had a GSD puppy and then realised they had a Herder! Diesel is going to need a super active home and would be best with a job! He can jump, so will need very secure...
  6. Kola

“Since being with us Kola has come out her shell a lot, coming up for cuddles and kisses which didn’t take long at all. Kola loves the male dogs at the kennels and she is a bit of a tease. Kola can be very nervous meeting new people specially men...
  7. Lulu

May I introduce Lulu as has been named, as all her microchip said was Pup 1! Lulu is 7 years of age and was picked up as a stray. She has obviously been used as a breeding machine poor girl. Vaccinations to be restarted and she is of course unspayed...
  8. Axel

“Axel, now what can I say about this gorgeous boy who is one massive overgrown pup who doesn’t realize his size most of the time. Axel does have nervous aggression meeting people due to his rubbish start in life but he is better meeting people off lead in the paddock,...
  9. Luna

“This sweet girl came to us very on guard and unsure of the rest of the world. But since being with us we found out Luna loves her toys can get a bit protective of them. Luna is a lot better meeting new people. She can be unsure at first...
  10. Oakley

This gorgeous boy came into us during lockdown when he had been bought as a puppy by inexperienced people and as he was a nervous boy they just couldn’t cope. He went into foster with one of our volunteers and was there for almost 12 month, he lived there with...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
