1. Storm

Storm came into the rescue as an emergency case along with a male called Buster. Their owner literally offloaded the dogs onto somebody who could not keep them but took them in so they were safe. Very little is known about Storm but from her microchip we have been able...
  2. Buster – The Golden Oldie

Buster came into the rescue as an emergency case along with a bitch called Storm. Their owner literally offloaded the dogs onto somebody who could not keep them but took them in so they were safe. Very little was known about Buster’s past but from his microchip we were able...
  3. Suki

Suki came to us from another rescue where she was at risk of being put to sleep. She is an 8 year bitch who is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She originally came in as a stray so no history and we would therefore not rehome her with young children. She...
  4. Rudi

This is a very tragic story of a loyal dog who at the end of his life was betrayed so badly by the people he thought loved him. Rudi was found by a lady walking through the woods one December afternoon in a terrible state. He was all but stone deaf, almost...
  5. Walter

Walter came into the rescue from a Pound in Sheffield after being picked up by the dog warden with a Rottie. 6. Benson

  7. Chance

This handsome lad came into the rescue through a Dog Warden in Hounslow. He was found in an emaciated state, claws too long, dull coat… They had given him a massive amount of medical help, including 2 days on a drip. Once they had Chance stabilised they asked for our...
  8. Millie

May I introduce the rather stunning Millie. Millie is 4 years and spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has actually come from another rescue where she had been returned after 9 months as she nipped a neighbour. The full story is not known but from all accounts there was no damage...
  9. Toby

May I introduce Toby who is a GSD cross lab. He is 3 years and neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Toby can only be homed with older children as he does have food aggression, but he is good with dogs and cats. Toby is a very loving dog but slightly wary...
  10. Rover

This lovely lad is 7 year Rover who is now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Rover’s dad died and he was very lost when he first arrived at the kennels. As you can see from the photos Rover was extremely obese and is still on a diet and strict exercise regime...

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
