So, Fergie is 7 years old. He is microchipped but vaccinations are out of date and he is still entire. Being rehomed as his current owners only took him in short term for a family member, who could then not take him back, and work means he will be left up to 7 hours a day.

Fergie is good with children and we are told other dogs, although he is scared of smaller dogs and likes a controlled meet, and we are told he is good with cats. Has lived with another dog in the past.

Friendly lad with no barking but does guard his treats and bones, and anything in his bed! He also steals shoes and will bin dive if given the opportunity. Not overly keen on the car. Can be strong on lead to start but soon settles. Has basic commands and selective recall.

Our volunteer said he is very toy and treat orientated and well behaved in the home. Friendly lad who greeted our volunteer with a waggy tail followed by kisses.

Are you Fergie’s new home?

Fergie has been adopted.

Fergie has passed over Rainbow Bridge.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
