May  I introduce Rex. Rex is now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is 3 years old.

Rex is a perfect example of why you should not buy dogs of Gumtree or such like websites! We were asked to take Rex in urgently as he had been obtained through Gumtree the night before. His 24 hour owner thought he looked a nice dog and there were photos of him with children. No other history was established but the reason he was told Rex needed a new home was because his dad was emigrating. Rex went home and was fine with his new owner but was not at all happy with his 11 year old child or wife.  And guess what, he tried to ring Rex’s original owner but there was never any answer!

We obviously therefore have no history on this stunning lad, only what the kennels have seen in his first couple of days. Rex comes across as being slightly nervous but also slightly grumpy. When out walking he tries to bite the lead and jumps up but listens to a strong voice. He does not appear aggressive.

For obvious reasons we would not home Rex with children but with an experienced and confident owner I am sure this lad will turn out to be fine. Sounds like he has just not had the best start in life.

Poor Rex had some Xrays done on his hips as his limping and stiffness was getting worse and when the results came back it was very plain to see why, his hips were in awful shape and his spine badly misaligned , his hip sockets were almost non existent and there was no more that we could do for this lad so we did the kindest thing and let him go. RIP Gorgeous lad.
